Last fall the Center for Social Impact Learning (part of the Middlebury Institute campus) sent me to a 3 day digital storytelling workshop at Story Center, an NGO based in Berkeley California that works exclusively to empower the storyteller in each of us. While there are many interpretations for what constitutes digital storytelling - it can be any mix of words, images, video, audio and other graphic media presented digitally - Story Center promotes a specific style: a personal narrative spoken over images, video and other sounds. This piece is the first digital story I've told in this format. All images, video, and audio recordings are my own, generated while working in Nepal in the summer of 2015.
